Current Innovator Founder Endorsing Bodies: Official List
Updated 22 October 2026. The names and counts in an older list can become outdated. For a new Innovator Founder application, consult the current GOV.UK list of authorised business endorsing bodies. This page explains how to use that official source instead of repeating a fixed directory.
Business endorsing bodies and legacy bodies
GOV.UK separates business endorsing bodies that can issue endorsements for new initial Innovator Founder applications from legacy endorsing bodies associated with earlier visa cases. Confirm which section applies to your situation and check the body’s current assessment process directly. The former Start-up visa is closed to new applications.
What is assessed?
Under the current Innovator Founder route, a proposed new business should be new, innovative, viable and scalable. The endorsing body assesses the business idea and may issue an endorsement letter. The applicant must also meet the other immigration requirements; neither an endorsement nor paid business preparation guarantees a visa decision.
Prepare before contacting a body
Document the founder’s role, customer problem, competitive advantage, evidence of demand and realistic financial needs. Read the body’s own instructions for fees, eligibility and submissions. UK Startup Visa can help with business preparation; contact us about the scope. Individual immigration advice should come from an appropriately regulated adviser.
