Permanent Residency has two main processes for obtaining UK residency through the UK Startup Visa. The first two years are spent on a UK Startup Visa, followed by three years on an innovator visa.
The UK Innovator-Visa is an investment-based residency program. It allows experienced businesspeople with a viable innovative business idea to set up a Business and get UK Permanent Residency. With the option of applying for residency after three years and citizenship after one year as a permanent resident and five years in the UK.
The Start-up visa does not lead directly to Permanent Residency. Time spent in this category, however, does count towards the 5-year Long Residence route. Furthermore, if an applicant successfully transitioned from Start-up to Innovator status, they may be eligible for Settlement after three years on the Innovator visa.
Advantages of UK Innovator Visa Permanent Residency
The Applicant must spend the majority of their time in the UK, which is typically at least 270 days per year. After living in the UK for at least 5 years and having held permanent residence for at least 1 year, UK Innovator Visa holders will be eligible to apply for British citizenship, subject to meeting language and other requirements.

4- Dependents include: spouses; children under the age of 18; and children over the age of 18 who are currently in the UK as a dependent.
5- Eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) to become permanent residents of the United Kingdom after three years.
6- Permanent residents have complete freedom to live and work in the United Kingdom.
7- Apply for citizenship after a year of permanent residence and meeting residency requirements.
