  • a valid passport or other documents that shows your identity and nationality
  • bank statements showing you’ve had at least £1270 in savings in your bank account for 28 consecutive days before you apply
  • A document that you meet the English language requirement (5.5IELTS)
  • Your tuberculosis test (infectious TB) results if you’re from a country where you have to take the test.

As a Start-Up Visa applicant, if you applied online, proved your identity, and provided your documents, you’ll usually get a decision within 3 weeks(depending on the country you live in). You are not required to book any travel before you apply or before a decision is made on your application.

According to the UK government’s official website, successful applicants of the UK Start-Up Visa can stay in the UK for 2 years and can apply to extend their visa for another year. Once they have established their business, they may also be eligible to apply for the Innovator visa, which allows them to stay in the UK for 3 years and 4 months.
