The UK Start-up visa is closed to new applications

GOV.UK says you can no longer apply for a Start-up visa. People planning to establish an innovative UK business may be able to apply under the Innovator Founder visa, subject to the current requirements. Existing Start-up visa holders may have different options.

The current route requires an innovative, viable and scalable business idea assessed by an approved endorsing body. Applicants must also meet the other visa requirements, including the applicable English-language and personal-savings rules. An endorsement is part of the application process; it does not guarantee a visa decision.

Read the official Start-up visa closure notice, current eligibility guidance and current endorsing-body list before acting on an older article.

UK Startup Visa offers business preparation support, including business plans, market research and financial projections. Contact us to discuss the scope of that support. Individual immigration advice should come from an appropriately regulated adviser.
